Do You Shop Online?
If so, you can help the Wilkinson Council raise money for the school by doing your shopping through our dedicated fundraising links. When Wilkinson families and friends do their online shopping through these links, a small portion of each sale is given back to the school as a referral commission. These programs don’t cost shoppers anything extra and have few if any limitations.
Our current shopping fundraisers are Amazon.ca, Mabel’s Labels and FlipGive, which allows shoppers to purchase from over 100 different retailers, such as Apple, Indigo, Nike and Old Navy. We also have an online store for the purchase of Wilkinson merchandise.
The links (and instructions on how to use them) can be found through the Shopping Fundraisers link on our homepage or at the bottom of our Get Involved Page. When you shop through these sites, just make sure to go through our fundraising links first!
Here’s how our shopping fundraisers work:
Amazon
- Before you shop, visit our homepage and look for the Amazon search bar on the bottom right corner.
- Type in a search item and you’ll be taken to Amazon.ca.
- Then, shop as you normally would on Amazon.
- Alternatively, you can use the “Shop On Amazon” button from the bottom of our Get Involved page.
- There are no codes to enter, no purchase minimums and no requirements around what to buy.
Mabel’s Labels
- Before you shop, go through our Shopping Fundraisers link and click on the “Shop With Mabel’s Labels” button.
- Note: this can also be done by visiting Mabel’s Labels directly and selecting “Support A Fundraiser” at the top right.
- Choose “Select Your School/Organization” and select “Wilkinson Public School (Toronto)” from the menu.
- On the next page, make sure you see “Wilkinson Public School (Toronto)” in the top left corner and then press “Click Here To Buy”.
- Now shop as you normally would!
- There are no codes to enter, no purchase minimums and no requirements around what to buy.
FlipGive
- Use the button link from the bottom of our Get Involved page to create a login and “Join The Team”.
- Note: To motivate team members, Flip Give publishes the amount raised by each purchase in the team activity feed. If you prefer not to have your shopping and browsing history published, sign up using your email address (not Facebook) and choose a username that does not include identifying information.
- Once signed in, use “Shop Now” to visit retailers and make purchases. Gift cards can also be purchased further down on the shopping page.
- Each retailer offers a different amount of cash back.
- When choosing a retailer, please make sure to click “See full terms & conditions” for any exclusions.
- Note: tax receipts cannot be issued for donations made through FlipGive using their Donate button. To make a donation and receive a tax receipt, please use the “Donate Today!” button at the bottom of our website or on our Get Involved page.
Wilkinson CafePress Store
- Use the “Shop With CafePress” button from the bottom of our Get Involved page to be taken to the online store.
That’s it! A percentage of the sales made through these fundraising links will be credited to the School Council to be used for such things as technology in the classroom, arts programming, Grade 6 graduation and schoolyard enhancements. Every little bit helps!
