Parent Council Meet & Greet
The Wilkinson School Community Council is dedicated to making each child’s experience at Wilkinson as meaningful and rewarding as possible by encouraging parental and community participation and by providing input into school activities, policy development and programs. We organize community building events and fundraisers, keep Wilkinson families informed, and work with the school’s active and involved team of staff to provide extra hands at school events and bring special programming and resources into the school.
Join us this Wednesday – September 22 – for a Parent Council Meet & Greet immediately after Curriculum Night. Drop-in via Zoom between 7:30 and 8:30 p.m. We’re happy to answer any questions about the Council, Wilkinson committees, and volunteering. Or, just drop in to say “hello.” Information about joining the Council can be found here.
Please contact us for the Zoom link.
We look forward to meeting you!
Virtual Curriculum Night will be held on Wednesday, September 22, 2021.
Principal Jensen will send out the ZOOM link for her plenary session that will run from 6:30-6:45pm and repeated at 7:15-7:30pn by Tuesday, September 21, 2021.
Teachers will be using either Google Meet or Zoom for their sessions. Classroom teachers will connect directly with the parents of their students to share details.
You can expect each teacher to offer two sessions. One session from 6:45-7:00pm and the second one from 7:00-7:15pm. This will allow families with multiple children to connect with teachers.
Principal Jensen will keep her ZOOM meeting open from 6:30-7:30pm. If you have questions or concerns, she will do her best to support parents.
Please remember the purpose of Curriculum night is for teachers to provide details about the learning for your children. It is not the time for questions about your individual child’s learning or behaviour. Progress reports will be sent home mid-November. November 19th is a PA day to support Parent-Teacher conferences.
